the dream catcher

As a mum, I like to think I'm entitled to a certain amount of spur of the moment fixes! Just random crazy ideas thought up on the spot to make things better.
Well... yesterday morning my beautiful little girl woke with yucky memories of a bad dream. Thats no good. Its especially no good when it comes to bed time again and she does not want to go to sleep as she is worried about another night of bad dreams - and rightly so. But I was exhausted and just wanted bed time to go smoothly! So quick sticks I asked her to give me the bad dream and I cupped my hands to catch it.
She of course looked at me with a mixed smile, jumping between wondering if I was crazy and what was I talking about! Just throw it at me, out of your head I said and so she did! I made her give it three times to totally get it all out and I quickly clasped my hands together and ran to the front door, opening it and threw it out!! (The things we do)
Surprisingly she was more than satisfied with this and it was lights out. AND low and behold it worked! it was a nightmare free sleep.... way to go Mum.

I have been having some funky dreams myself and waking in a sweat. And lucky for me, this morning my girl demanded I throw it all to her! fingers crossed it works tonite

Three is a theme...

History is full of threes....There were the three blind mice, and the three bears, also the three little pigs and the three little indians. The three wise men and of course rub-a-dub-dub three men in a tub. Even Ba Ba Black sheep had three bags of wool. A common theme three seems to be.

Well, its been quiet here I know. Thing is I have been feeling so very tired. Started to get better but still so tired at nights and that was when I found myself getting so much done and now feel like I am behind with so many things. Just a head full of ideas but a sleeping body! Why so tired? Well, it turns out I am making my leap into the history of three with my third little one on the way!

Im only just starting the second trimester, so still a way to go but very exciting. Oh just think of all the things I can sew for it!

Whites... to wash or not to wash

Have you seen the ad where the girl loves wearing her whites but is afraid to as the more she washes them the greyer they get so she covers up with napkins so she can wash less?

This really got me thinking as I wash after every wear, never considered wearing a few times before washing. 

Am I an excessive washer?!  

My sons school uniform is a white polo top... a scary thought! It hasn't been too bad till the weather turned and the puddles became irresistable and the shirt came home black. I am not even thinking about the winter uniform, Long sleeved white polo... I can just see the black cuffs now!!

Do you wash after every wear or is it ok to wear a few times before washing???

then the gymnastic/ballarina studio (insert your imagination here!) including a trampoline, balance beam, foor mat, cushion seat and a fairy ring to dance around.

Then a play at the park, picnic on the rug and a splash in the pond or a run in the mushroom forest

and while you play in the park, the fairys will drop off some sweets - what fun
