Goodbyes are hard

The end of June brought a move for my brother to the states. Farewells are hard.

We got to look after his pooch for a few weeks till his flight to join his family in their big move and saying goodbye to him was hard too.
Maybe Santa might give us a puppy for christmas!!

August? Already!!

 Where did July go?

Lots has been happening, but sleeping not so much!  I have finally got us back on track and am feeling myself. Sleep can make such a difference. Even just 1 less wake up in the night.

Lots of crawling through the day, you would think would make you feel tired, all the chasing I do makes me tired! :)

That smile is just too cute and I can not be mad for long.
Just madly in love.

Back to routine

Life has quickly returned to some normality after being sick and our trip away and I am loving the quiet life!! Crazy I know but the daily routines have been a little cosy. So nice to have a little daily blah.

Our little trip across the Tasman

We had a wonderful time on our family trip to NZ.
Was lovely to catch up with some friends, see some local sites and spend lots of time together.

Hubby and I even snuck in a date!

Fabric challenge - Day 38

Scrap Happy!!
I love patchwork and I first started with this mini bag....

then, completely using scraps I made this ipod case as a gift for a neighbour of ours.

Then I couldn't help myself and made three more!

I am loving using up the scraps and reusing some of my favourite fabrics. But its not helping deplete the still large stash in the cupboard!

Reception at Ferry Bower

We had an amazing wedding reception.
It was the perfect afternoon.
The gorgeous weather, amazing service from the staff, great food and drink, ocean views, just the right jazz duo, our closest friends and family... what more could you want.

The Bower restaurant at Ferry Bower (next to Manly Beach) was a favourite breakfast spot of mine growing up and it certainly lived up to my expectations for my wedding day.
I would highly recommend going there for an event or just for lunch.

I could not wait for the day to arrive and now I am so content being married to my amazing husband, though I could happily be the bride again tomorrow!
