We registered for the rugby season again on the weekend. He is really looking forward to getting back to it but Im not looking forward to the cold early mornings.

He was thinking he could pass on his old boots to his little brother - and thought he would let him try on his head gear!

Too cute really.

My middle man has suddenly become a huge star wars fan, literally overnight, watching episode 4 and 5 after finding the box set in the cupboard. He was engrossed in them and I was enjoying them again too, looking forward to watching number 6 until he could not sleep with the fear of Darth Vader visiting him in the night!! So we have put them on hold for now!

Little jack looks a bit like the Emporer under the big head gear ... dont you think! :)

Got the shoes

Are they not a sight for sore eyes. 

Just too cute.

We finally got my princess some shoes for the wedding and she is in heaven with them!

We had been in the door 2 minutes and she was pulling off her dress to get 'the' dress out and try it on with the shoes. And my little man followed in all the excitement stripping off his shorts wanting to try on his outfit too!

The shoes are neither the two pairs I picked out that were both white with flowers on them, matching perfectly... No that would be too matching!

She fell in love with a silver sparkly peep toe heeled pair! 

Cant blame her, I remember what I was like at her age and I love that she is like me. 

I couldn't say no when they made her smile so big.

And isn't he a handsome young man. Cant wait to share a dance with him.

a growing problem

I love cooking, and especially baking. But it seems to be causing me some grief. I cant help but eat all the goodies I love to bake! Im trying to get back to my pre-baby weight especially with the wedding in 2 months and I have been very good eating lots of salads, cutting out sugar in my tea, and have also really cut back on evening treats. All good, but my downfall is I'm making treats during the day for my family and I'm continually tasting them! yesterday I made jam drops AND cinnamon scrolls, in one day!! I cant resist them, dont want to waste good cooking and my hip line isnt reducing as quick as it could!

Happy Valentines

I was up till late last night but the cookies were worth it.

This morning we ate heart shaped cookies and listened to love songs while getting ready for school.

The kids took some cookies to school for their friends too. 

Sweet.

And I got the wedding invites in the mail yesterday so some of the local ones arrived today, on valentines! How timely.

its lined

I finally finished some sewing again. 

A pram liner for my littlest master. Doesn't it look spiffy.

This has been on my list for a few months and slowly I made progress. Its double sided, backed with a baby blue cotton waffle, and a bamboo wadding sandwiched in the middle and all joined with a straight stitch and a striped bias binding.  I felt a little out of my depth with the holes that needed to be made for the straps, but I got there. They are far from perfect and my initial ideas did not work out, I ended up just overlocking the edges. I was very pleased that it fit so well, my measuring skills must be improving.

With all the rain this week, we have not been able to take it for a test spin yet. Good things come for those that wait!
